At The Fund, our purpose for developing our Web Portal is to provide trouble-free access for enrollments, acceptance status, funding calculator and historic pharmacy claim transactions.
In order to maintain the highest standards of IT security and reliability under the compliance requirements of HIPAA the architecture of all information systems within The Assistance Fund are integrated as part of an overall IT governance strategy. Utilizing best practices and IT frameworks such as COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and related Technology), the primary focus has been involved around protecting confidential patient information and maintaining data integrity.
The Assistance Calculator (TAC)
TAC is available for patients, pharmacies and/or physicians to log-in and answer minimal amount of questions to receive immediate response if they would be considered a qualified candidate for co-pay assistance. TAC provides estimates of how much expense to the patient with a weighted average forecast.
TAC is the “engine” with programmed business logic that drives workflow for the STAT-START program and enables patients receive rapid responses on acceptance.
